Prayer works miracles

Oh my goodness, God is sooooooooooooo good. I was sooooo blessed by this weekend. I went to the staff retreat for missions conference thinking it will be cool. I will find out my position and sing and have fun. I never thought I would bond with people so quickly and I never thought that the power of prayer was that effective. I knew that if you prayed God will answer it. I always would say pray about it or I prayed about it ,but I never truely understood prayer. I guess I just did it for a habite but i never really thought about the power the amazing power in prayer. The amazing joy God has in us bringing everything to Him. I just did not see it as that powerful. I know I was wrong, and I never expected to learn of that power at a retreat. I also never thought of how vounable I have been since I have come here. It is amazing how many walls I built up even without know it. He also revealed to me that I do have a wall and that I need to break it down and trust my brothers and sisters in Christ.
Ok anywhoo about the retreat we went into the santuary at twin peaks community church on saturday night about the end of the weekend and we started to sing and praise God. When then began to give praises and those who needed prayer. This is where it started as we began to pray for those that needed prayer or had something on their hearts to say. I began to marvel at the way the Lord was using us and helping us lift up others in prayer. We began to repent and tell others of the things God had wanted us to confess and we prayed fervantly for them. We lifted our fellow brothers and sisters in Chirst. People were so open,true, and real. We became voulnable and shared all to us and God. We went into that building at about 10:50 and did not end unitl after three. It was an amazing time talking,worshipping and praying together. We talked about carrying this mindness of prayer and worship to Biola and to missions conference. We want the whole campus to expierence the love,christian fellowship, and raw power of God working miracles through prayer. It was amazing.
